Written by Laura Purdie Salas, Amphibians, Water-To-Land Animals was published by Picture Window Books, Inc. in 2009. To create the paintings featured in the book, I carefully used a combination of alkyd and oil paints on heavyweight Arches paper, which allowed me to achieve a smooth texture and capture meticulous detail. I am especially drawn to how the oil paint effortlessly conveys the wet and smooth skin characteristic of these beautiful creatures. Painting them was an enjoyable and rewarding experience. The book’s spreads measure 10” x 20”, providing ample space to showcase the artwork.
Original pieces of art will be securely enveloped in an archival sleeve and shipped carefully, sandwiched between several layers of foam core and corrugated cardboard to ensure their safe arrival.
