These works were conceived and executed between the years of 2006 and 2013. All are part of my exploration of feminist themes such as the politicization of the body, transhumanism and its relation to technology, the creation of desire by capitalism, the construct of gender and how it reinforces the power of institutions— and more. Often, I leaned on friends to pose for me and occasionally used myself as a model for my work. And many times I relied on my own memory of the figure to create the work.
