This was one of the very first books I illustrated in my early career and I had immense fun with it. Here’s a blog post I wrote about my experience with the project.
Written Sneed B. Collard, Do They Scare You? Creepy Creatures was published by Charlesbridge Pub. Co. in 1992.
I used alkyd and oil paints on heavy weight Arches paper to achieve a smooth texture and meticulous detail. The book’s spreads measure 20” x 9” and the interiors are 11” x 9”. All have a white border and can be easily matted and framed.
Jane Frank, owner of Wow-Art, had this collection for sale on her online gallery, but it’s now being hosted here at Kest Fine Art. I hope you find something fun that you’d enjoy having in your home or office space. :D
Original art will be enveloped in an archival sleeve and shipped sandwiched between several layers of fome core and corrugated cardboard.
