I’m partnering with gourd artist, Reagan Bitler, owner of Creatives on King Gallery, for a show during the month of June called The Audacity of Imagination. We’re collaborating on several works in which I’m adding ceramic insets to gourds which Reagan has designed. We’re excited about what the outcomes will be.

“The Emissary” is a hollow form made of white terra cotta which will receive underglaze washes before being final fired.

My own work is traveling a bit of a strange route. Since I’ve delved more into the meaning and making of sigils, I’m finding that they want to crop up everywhere in the art. Pairing or grouping them gives the works more storyline and strengthens the mythology of world-building an alien biology and environment, a series of works I’m tentatively calling Pelagic Worlds.
