Giovanni Monsterpot

$100.00

Meet Giovanni. He's a uniquely made, handbuilt stoneware monsterpot with a lid for a head and made to make you smile even before you've had your coffee. This sturdy tri-footed stoneware pot is glazed with layers of streaky pale green over a translucent yellow. The interior is glazed clear. Matte yellow and white buttons on his belly make for a good grip when handling.

Pots are good for all manner of loose items like pet treats, coins, keepsakes— and yes, butter because the lid is a good fit. This piece is also a good keepsake vessel for the ashes of a beloved furry family member.

Giovanni is happy to just sit on your countertop and give you a big goofy grin while you contemplate the grass in your yard.

[Note: There was a "glass blister” next to his nose and another on the right of his head, both of which “popped” during handling after firing. The photos show that it’s just a glaze blemish and that the ceramic piece is intact. See discount!]

(Standard 101 Buff Stoneware clay, fired to Cone 6. All glazes are home-created in Kest Pottery Studio.)
