This is Isobel. She's a uniquely handbuilt stoneware monsterpot with a lid for a head, and the kind of wide, hopeful eyes that make it very hard to say no to her.

This sturdy, tri-footed pot wears a green hairstreak glaze layered over translucent green, catching light like moss on old bark across her brow and cheeks. Lift the lid at her mouth and her fearsome lower teeth stay behind, ringing her jaw. Her orange and white matte buttons dot her sides to give your hand a sure grip when lifting the lid. Interior glazed clear, food-grade safe, ready for whatever you trust her with.

Good for pet treats, spare coins, keepsakes, secrets — and yes, butter, since her lid seats snugly enough to keep it fresh. She also makes a tender keepsake vessel for the ashes of a beloved furry family member — the kind who greeted every arrival at the door like it was the best possible thing that had happened all day.

Isobel is the one who notices when you've had a hard day before you've said a word, and just sits there being sweet about it until you feel better.
