Snorkeling near the cliffs of La Jolla, past the sudsy ocean surf, you catch a glimpse of a pale creature darting in and out of the kelp beds. You swim closer to take a look but it shyly swims deeper into the darkness. What was that? As you make your way to shore, careful not to disturb the small stingrays, you head to your day encampment to rest from the excitement. A formation of Brown Pelicans austerely glides overhead and you sip from a warm mug and enjoy pondering all of the creatures in the unknown depths.

The lower half of the mug has a satiny pale green glaze that gives it a certain “organic” feel. The upper glaze is a kelp green and the interior is a glossy warm burnt-orange with speckles and floats. Hand-built with a wider, sturdy handle and round, reassuring and steady bottom, this mug holds 20 oz of fluid volume. Marks have been hand-applied over the surface of the mug for a satisfying texture and grip.

Mugs are dishwasher-safe and microwave-friendly. All glazes are food-safe.
