Pond's Edge Companion Eyeball Mug Variation #4
Pond's Edge Companion Eyeball Mug Variation #4
Through the dappled shade, you see the turtles sunning themselves on a log partially submerged at the edge of a forested lake, bright glints of hot light on the muddy red bank. You hear a splash and turn to catch a strange creature watching you from the shallows. It creates little footprints in the soft watery earth, then wades to slide below the smooth surface and is gone. Later at home, around the cozy backyard fire, you ponder the marvelous creatures of the riparian edge and sip from a warm cup.
This 12 ounce mug is very stable and sturdy on its 3 "feet" base, and is glazed with layers of a hair-streaking pale, lacy teal, pooling and slipping over translucent hot orange on the outside with a cinnamon cream ~or pale opalescent~ glaze on the inside.
There are 7 of these mugs, all similar in interior and exterior colors. Each one is handbuilt so there are variations in the placement of the 5 eyes. Each one has one blue /grey eye, but where that eye occurs on the mug may vary. Also, the overglaze “hairstreak” varies; how the glaze runs and streaks in the kiln is rather unique and I have no control over that. :)
If you want to see more photos of more of these mugs, please message me. Otherwise, the mug shown here is the mug you’ll receive.
Mugs are microwave and dishwasher friendly. All glazes are food-safe.
