This slab-built stoneware vessel features carved feathered patterns and four protective eyes—each oriented toward a cardinal direction. The vessel stands firm, like a sentinel of fire and purpose.

Glazed in blood-cinnamon engobe that reveals the texture of the clay, with a satin penny-brown interior glaze. The lid is patterned to match the body.

The vessel honors the South—the direction of fire, courage, and the life force that propels us forward.
