The Emissary -- A Freestanding Hollow Sculpture

$550.00

15.5” high x 7” wide x 7” wide. White Terracotta with green engobe.

The Emissary, is a companion piece to the painting, “The Brood”. If the painting is the “vision” then the sculpture is the archaeological find in this ecological world-building. I’ve imagined myself as an interstellar naturalist who’s traveled to another star system and finds an alien species and its cultural remnants.

The surface of the artifact is inscribed with curious glyphs, possibly a system of sigils or maps of solar systems. Something tells me that they all point “home”. Ironically, the Emissary has traveled from a far distant system to bring us the message that Earth is the only home we humans have.

You are Home where you are held and remembered.

The interior is hollow; the head is a seated lid which can be sealed. Vessel is large enough for human cremains.

Contact me if you’d like to discuss an urn or vessel more specific for you or your family.
