Watercolor and graphite on museum board, apprx. 12” x 10”.
Watercolor was always a joy to work in and I was used to using the medium during art school (1985-1987), so maybe this piece comes from around that time. I discovered that I could use a little sandpaper on the museum board to deliberately abrade the surface and give it a more velvety texture. I’d retrieved a dead crow from the road and placed it in the corn field behind my mother’s house. Later, I retrieved the skull….
Art will be shipped flat between layers of fome core and corrugated cardboard.
