Major Kristal Turner-Childs is the first Black female Pennsylvania State troops commander and director. I had the privilege of meeting her and creating this portrait of her for “The Glass Ceiling” group show in 2020. Behind Major Turner-Childs is a portion of the PA State Capitol dome; she is seated on one of the granite benches in the front of the building complex.
