Oil paint on museum board, apprx. 12” x 10”.

This painting was one of the 10 portfolio pieces I created and used to “break into” the field of illustration. So, this would have been painted sometime in the early 90s. I would have done the study in graphite first and then layered oil paint and alkyd right onto the museum board. I didn’t know then to stay away from mixing a lot of Stand oil in the paint and therefore the museum board is a bit yellowed 30 years later. Perhaps in a 100 years, archivists will know exactly how to remedy it.

Art will be shipped flat between layers of fome core and corrugated cardboard.
