The Metamorphosis sigil tile is a ceremonial object forged for those in the act of becoming. Crafted from terracotta clay and glazed in pale cicada green, its six-pointed star swirls with movement, enclosed within a sacred circle. Red patterns ripple across the background—reminiscent of blood, ancient earth, and the rites of change. At the center, an all-seeing eye looks left, witnessing what was even as it welcomes what will be.

This handbuilt tile serves as a spiritual marker for those navigating transformation—whether grief, rebirth, or deliberate personal evolution. The sigil inscribed into the design is unique, calling the energy of sacred shedding and emergence.

Each Metamorphosis tile is accompanied by a hand-lettered vellum scroll with a poetic invocation:

Metamorphosis

This is the husk unseaming.
The old form cracks, green spirals rise,
memory shedding its skin in slow, sacred coils.
The sixfold star spins within the circle—
geometry reborn in silence.
The eye looks back not to cling, but to witness.
All that was has fed what becomes.
This is not ruin—it is release.
This is not ending—it is flight.

The tiles are 5.5” x 5.5” and fired with colored engobe and finished with alcohol ink.

To hang them: there is a “shingle” cut in the back of the tile to hang on a drywall screw or nail.
