Sanctuary Sigil Tile – Handbuilt Ceramic Ritual Art

$65.00

This handcrafted ceramic sigil tile, titled Sanctuary, is designed as a spiritual ward—an invocation of safety, stillness, and sacred space. Centered with an all-seeing eye and encircled by five protective wings, the tile echoes ancient angelic forms like the Ophanim and Seraphim. Built from warm terracotta clay and engobe colors, it evokes both grounded-ness and celestial motion.

Meant to serve as a talisman for protection, healing, or quietude, Sanctuary is ideal for altars, doorways, meditation corners, or personal rituals. The sigil at its heart was crafted with intention, sealing the vessel with symbolic resonance.

This is more than decor—it is a portal of peace, an invitation to return home to the self.

Each sigil tile includes a poetic invocation, hand-lettered with ink on vellum:

Sanctuary
This is the turning eye in the stillness.
The five-winged watcher who never slumbers,
spinning the hush of safety into the air.
Within this circle, no blade may pass,
no lie may linger,
no shadow may root.
Only the true may enter.
Only the weary may rest.
This is the sacred keep. This is home.

What’s a sigil? Read about it here in my blog.

The tiles are 5.5” x 5.5” and fired with colored engobe and finished with alcohol ink.

To hang them: there is a “shingle” cut in the back of the tile to hang on a drywall screw or nail.
